Our new IT Controller enjoys trips by motorbike and travelling by camper van

In which function do you work at linkyard and how will your work look like?

I work in the back office to strengthen the staff in the area of accounts payable and accounts receivable. I am also expected to contribute my ideas for continuous improvement in administration and support processes and to contribute to the development of linkyard. I am particularly looking forward to working in a wide variety of teams and constellations.

Describe your background.

I am a Bernese child, I went to school in Bümpliz and grew up there.

Growing up in a family business, I was given some entrepreneurial blood in my cradle. After completing a commercial apprenticeship in a travel agency, I later trained at WISS to become an IT project manager.

Through many years of experience, additional training (ITIL, SGO, Hermes, Cobit) and autodidactics, I have been able to work in various roles (IT-PL, Head of ITC, Consulting, QM, Controlling) in the environment of administration, SMEs, public transport, associations. I am not a developer. In addition to project management, I have recently become increasingly involved in organisational and process development. Therefore, "IT organiser" seems to me to be a very appropriate job title for me.

Just ask me if there is anything else that interests you.

What do you enjoy doing in your free time?

I like people and am also an animal lover without having to have one myself. I like spending my free time with good friends, fine food and good wine, and occasionally concerts (folk, rock). I like mountains, forests and water. A special passion is motorbike trips and travelling by motorbike, as well as travelling by camper. In addition, I also ski on occasion and sail from time to time (e.g. on Lake Thun).

Why is water wet?

Because dry water does not perform well?
