Capability 1: Applicable industry expertise
Even if certain rules and procedures in government apply to everyone, public administration is not a single industry like any other. Under the umbrella of the federal state there is a multitude of extremely different services and fields of expertise. Projects in construction, education, national defence or public security with their blue-light organisations: the respective areas represent independent sectors with different emphases in each case, which may require independent sector solutions in addition to a situation-specific project approach.
At the same time, eGovernment projects intensify the bridging between these very different specialist areas. For example, we have been involved in the eCH standardisation organisation for many years, including in specialist and working groups on the topics of political rights, personal registration and identity & access management. We are currently a member of the eCH object management specialist group and the Swiss E-Government Architecture Committee SEAC.Thanks to our extensive project experience, we have already built up know-how in many areas. This means that you, as our customer, do not always have to teach us everything at great expense from the outset. Instead, we start at a high technical level and can also easily draw on supplementary expertise from related specialist areas.
Capability 2: Specific process and procurement competence
The public sector operates according to a number of important principles which can be applied differently in the private sector. These include, for example
- the limitations of public procurement law,
- the need for legal bases to carry out an activity as a State, and
- cooperation in federal project structures without a single CEO with authority to issue directives, who alone can make final decisions for all.
As a result, IT projects in public administration often have a higher organizational complexity than in the private sector. We have already successfully implemented many cross-organisational projects. Thus, we can contribute our experience in organizing work in intercantonal procurement communities or projects across several federal levels.
Ability 3: Interdisciplinary project competence
The effective handling of complex problems increasingly requires interdisciplinary cooperation. We consider the well-founded analysis of the problems in all their aspects and contexts as well as the communication of the facts and the options for action to the appropriate target group to be particularly important factors for success. One of our particular strengths is that we are able to supplement your competent main contact person with other complementary experts as required. Whether data protection or procurement law, Cloud, DevOps, Scaled Agile, Artificial Intelligence or Container-based Deployments and Identity Federation: we unite experienced project managers and specialists with depth in a rare range of topics under one roof.
