Skill 1: Applicable industry expertise

Even though certain rules and procedures in the government apply to everyone: the public administration is not an individual sector like any other. Under the umbrella of the federal state, there is a wide range of extremely diverse services and areas of expertise. Projects in construction, education, national defense or public safety with their emergency organizations: the respective areas represent independent sectors, each with a different focus, which may require independent industry solutions in addition to a project approach appropriate to the situation.

At the same time, eGovernment projects are intensifying bridges between these diverse fields of expertise. For example, we have been involved in the eCH standardization organization for years, including in specialist and working groups on the topics of political rights, personal reporting and identity & access management. We are currently a member of the eCH Object Management Section and the Swiss E-Government Architecture Committee SEAC.Thanks to our extensive project experience, we have already built up know-how in many areas. As a customer, you don't always have to teach us everything in a complex way right from the start, but we start at a high professional level and can also easily draw on additional expertise from related fields of expertise.

Skill 2: specific procedural and procurement expertise

The public sector functions according to a number of important principles, which can be lived differently in the private sector. These include, for example
  • restrictions on public procurement law,
  • the need for legal bases to carry out an activity as a state and
  • cooperation in federal project structures without an individual CEO with authority, who alone can make final decisions for all.
As a result, IT projects in public administration often have a higher organizational complexity than in the private sector. We have already successfully implemented many cross-organizational projects. In this way, we can contribute our experience in organizing work in intercantonal procurement associations or projects across several federal levels.

Skill 3: interdisciplinary project competence

The effective handling of complex problems increasingly requires interdisciplinary cooperation. We regard the well-founded analysis of the problems in all their aspects and contexts as well as the communication of the facts and options for action to the addressees as particularly important success factors. One of our particular strengths is that we can supplement your competent main contacts with us in a situational and uncomplicated manner with other complementary experts. Whether it's data protection or procurement law, cloud, DevOps, Scaled Agile, Artificial Intelligence or container-based deployments and identity federation: we bring together experienced project managers and specialists with depth on a rare range of topics under one roof.

High level of integrity

All of our employees in important positions are subject to security screening before being hired. The linkyard information security management system is certified according to ISO 27001:2013. Around half of our employees have a valid extended personal security check in accordance with PSP 11 and can therefore be quickly and easily deployed even in projects with access to classified information or systems.
