Selina, the new support of our consulting team

Selina starts work as a senior consultant on 1 November. In this interview, you will learn how the doctor of German language and literature found her way to IT.

What made you decide to work at linkyard?

A former colleague of mine had worked with linkyard on a project and pointed out to me that you are a very nice and "cool place". When I saw on the website how diverse linkyard is, I applied the same day.

In which function do you work at linkyard and how will your work look like?

As Senior Project Manager & Consultant, I will be leading projects and will be involved in various mandates as required.

What are you looking forward to most about working at linkyard?

Working together with people to develop solutions and inspire customers for our systems and services. And, of course, always learning new things and developing myself further.

Describe your background.

I studied German and English language and literature at the University of Berne and "slipped" into IT after my Master's degree. After my studies I managed IT projects at the Bern University of Applied Sciences for four and a half years. However, I was not yet able to completely detach myself from the university and at the same time did my doctorate. Now I have a doctorate in German, working in IT project management and consulting.

How would you describe yourself in one sentence?

Focus is important, but so is humour.

Why is the sea salty?

So you can drift on your back.
