Selina, the new support of our consulting team

Selina starts working as a senior consultant on November 1. In this interview, you will find out how the postgraduate Germanist found her way to IT.

How did you come up with the idea that you wanted to work for Linkyard?

A former colleague of mine was involved with Linkyard as part of a project and pointed out to me that you are a very nice and “cool place.” When I saw on the website how diverse Linkyard was, I applied the same day.

What is your role at Linkyard and what will your work look like?

As a Senior Project Manager & Consultant, I will manage projects and work on various mandates as required.

What are you most excited about working at Linkyard?

Working with people and working together to develop solutions and getting customers excited about our systems and services. And, of course, to always learn new things and develop myself further.

Describe your career path

I studied German and English at the University of Bern and “slipped” into IT after completing my master's degree. After completing my studies, I spent four and a half years managing IT projects at Bern University of Applied Sciences. But I haven't been able to completely break away from university yet and completed my doctorate at the same time. I am now a doctorate in Germanist working in IT project management and consulting.

How would you describe yourself in one sentence?

Focus is important, but so is humor.

Why is the sea salty?

So you can drift on your back.
