Nicole, the new front-end developer

Nicole will fill the position as front-end developer at the end of July. In this interview you will learn more about the new addition to our team.

What made you decide to work at linkyard?

Linkyard offered the perfect work situation for me and gave me the opportunity to grow as a developer. In the end it was all the friendly people at linkyard that convinced me.

In which function do you work at linkyard and how will your work look like?

I work as a front-end developer, so my job is to create UI designs and program the visual aspects of applications and websites.

What are you looking forward to most about working at linkyard?

I am very much looking forward to learning from experienced professionals in the industry and to expanding my craft even further.

Describe your background.

After earning a Bachelor of Science in Biology, I spent 10 years as an environmental educator and adventure tour guide, leading student groups around the world. During this time, I discovered my passion for building beautiful UI's and returned to school to earn a second Bachelor's in Front End Web Development.

How would you describe yourself in one sentence?

I would describe myself as a person with a very adventurous spirit who is always eager to learn new things.

Why are rainbows round?

Scientific explanation: Has to do with the fact that raindrops are spherical and how the sun's rays are reflected by them.

More likely: Because of the weight of the goblin pots with gold on both ends of course!
