A collaborative strategy workshop for linkyard

In our strategy workshop we discussed current challenges and the linkyard of the future.

Growth brings challenges

Year after year, linkyard is growing, welcoming new staff and increasing turnover. This growth undoubtedly brings challenges. It was therefore important to us that the culture we have created remains intact even as we grow, and that we discuss and consolidate our strategy for the future. We want linkyard to remain uncomplicated, flat hierarchically, flexible and goal and solution oriented.

Participation and collaboration instead of top down

During the workshop, the management pointed out challenges and opportunities in a very transparent way, which was followed by an open discussion that was recognisably the core of the event. Ideas were presented by the management on the one hand and by the employees on the other. Contents were e.g.

  • Explaining the past - why we are where we are today
  • Directions and Hell - where we see ourselves in the future and where by no means
  • Security Awareness - Social Engineering and Credible Phishing Attempts
  • Scaling - how do we shape the growing teams?

This brought out countless ideas, critical opinions and solutions that we want to implement in the future.

The OKR teams as the executive

The challenges uncovered and possible solutions are now taken to the respective OKR teams. There, the approaches are further elaborated and goals (objectives and key results) are set for the coming OKR cycles.

Our existing claim "Driven by your Business Value" was replaced as it no longer reflected what we do. With "We shape digital ecosystems" or "We shape digital ecosystems" we capture linkyard's DNA: Solutions to complex IT problems in an increasingly connected world. And that end to end, from consulting to implementation, from individual tools to entire platforms.

The productive workshop was rounded off with an aperitif followed by a meal.
