Our DevOps Engineer is active in sports and likes to play chess
In which function do you work at linkyard and how will your work look like?
As a DevOps Engineer, I control linkyard's fleet with my keyboard!
My responsibilities include provisioning, maintaining, troubleshooting, and monitoring our cloud infrastructure and application delivery pipelines, as well as ensuring the availability and accessibility of our applications.
The great thing is that I get to work with a lot of interesting technologies and it's always exciting to learn a new stack or use a new tool - in that sense, I feel like a kid in a toy store!
Describe your background.
I have a Bachelor's degree with honors in Computer Science and Software Engineering from the best university in Malaysia (UM) and currently pursuing a Master's degree in Data Science in Zurich!
Before joining linkyard, I have already worked in 3 large companies as a software engineer.
However, the real motivation that made me choose the path of engineering is my strong belief that there is an optimal solution to every problem in our world. Be it an environmental, political, humanitarian or even a technical problem; technology has shown time and again that it can be a driving force for a better society.
I sit at my computer every day and write code to optimize and solve problems. I make mistakes and often struggle to find the answers, but it's all part of the journey to a better society, I hope.
How would you describe yourself in one sentence?
Always grateful and easy going.
What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
Reading, swimming, weight training, hiking, chess and last but not least: parties ;)
Why is the banana crooked?
Because no one moved on vacation and bent the banana straight:)
