Atlassian Engineer

You will support and advise our customers in the operation as well as in the design, implementation and further development of Atlassian-based systems. You will accompany our customers along the entire value stream. This ranges from answering the first customer enquiry and preparing offers and designing to the handling of the migration or implementation project and follow-up support in the operating phase. Together as a team, we ensure responsive and competent support through ticketing and chat-based support channels.

Customer projects range from relatively simple implementations to technically and organizationally demanding and highly integrated, tailor-made solutions. You carry out software installations, implement new customer requirements, manage projects and conduct trainings. The tasks are wide-ranging and regularly require trying out new things, conducting research and developing solutions. As a result, you will constantly gain interesting insights into exciting customer environments, from innovative industrial companies to financial institutions and government agencies.

Your duties will include:

  • Presales and customer support: Participation in quotations and advising customers on the choice of the right solution
  • Requirements analysis and implementation: elicitation of requirements and implementation
  • System Engineering: Perform software installations and updates, troubleshoot, automation
  • Software development (if interested/suitable): Development and maintenance of apps, scripts and integrations around the Atlassian tools
  • Support: Answering a wide range of customer queries together with the rest of the team

Your profile: You

  • you have an education in IT
  • You already have experience in administering Jira and feel completely comfortable in the Linux shell as well as on Windows servers
  • Solid programming skills in Java are an advantage
  • speak German and English very well, French is an advantage
  • you like to work directly with customers and communicate confidently
  • are flexible, independent and very reliable
  • have fun learning new things

Due to our probably quite unique support organization, you are largely free to decide about your working hours. You choose your own IT equipment and work from your home office or from our offices in Bern. Depending on the task, on-site visits to customers are also necessary.
