Ice hockey, travel and programming: Our new consultant Rico
What is your role at Linkyard and what will your work look like?
I work in consulting, where I support our customers in their projects in the design, development and implementation of solutions that meet their requirements.
Describe your career path
I started my professional career with an apprenticeship as an electronics technician with a part-time high school diploma, where I got my first contact with the digital world and programming. But since I was even more interested, I then studied industrial engineering with a double degree in computer engineering and mechanical engineering. I then looked for my start in IT, which I found at T-System. There I was able to expand my knowledge and skills in various activities and also gain international experience. In the end, I worked there as a Product Owner Application Services and, to a lesser extent, had projects as a Digital Solutions Engineer. After a professional break on a trip with my girlfriend, which we had already planned for a long time, I briefly found myself at Linkyard.
How would you describe yourself in one sentence?
An open-minded, empathic and conscientious person who is always available for a few sayings.
What do you enjoy about your free time?
My biggest hobby is ice hockey, which still takes up a lot of time, especially during the season. Otherwise, you can tell my roots from the Bernese Oberland, as most hobbies revolve around the mountains: skiing, mountaineering, climbing/bouldering, etc.
Do stairs lead up or down?
You can also fly up, down;)
