Edina, the new addition to the back office
Get to know the new addition to our back office team better in this interview. Edina will take up the position as a back office employee on March 2.
How did you come up with the idea that you wanted to work for Linkyard?
I saw the advertised position in the back office and immediately applied for the position after viewing the company profile on the website. I was looking for a part-time job in the back office area and I liked the linkyard company profile very much.
What is your role at Linkyard and what will your work look like?
My role is a back office employee.
My work will focus on managing debtors and creditors. But I will also take on other tasks. But above all, provide administrative support, manage materials, make orders, help organize meetings, etc.
What are you most excited about working at Linkyard?
I am particularly pleased that I will have the opportunity to return to work and learn a lot of new things. But also to be able to use forgotten things again and to be challenged again. I am also really looking forward to working independently — hopefully soon — and managing my work myself.
Describe your career path
The short version:
I attended office and trade school and worked for several years as a payments clerk at Credit Suisse, where my main task was processing domestic and international payment orders. I then worked for four years at the Road Traffic Office in Bern, in the Department of Administrative Measures in Road Traffic (ADMAS). There I was responsible for implementing measures with two colleagues in a team of lawyers. I prepared the files for the lawyers, managed the confiscated driver's permits, and managed the archive.
During this time, I founded the courier company 7day-express together with my partner, where I was responsible for the entire administration as managing director. From time to time, I also helped out with the delivery.
Unfortunately, I had to close the 7day express in summer 2018 for economic reasons.
How would you describe yourself in one sentence?
I am optimistic and a fighter
Why are sunhole lids round?
Because you can roll them that way? :-)
